So do you have your omelette’s with the yolk or just the whites? Eggs are the real deal when talking about superfoods, but there’s always been some debate on this issue as to whether the yolk does more harm than good. Only you can decide whether it contributes to your goals, but we can certainly share some good un…to help you make that decision 😉. –⠀

Key similarities:⠀
Eggs and egg whites are both complete proteins. “Complete” just means is has the adequate proportion of all nine of the essential amino acids necessary for our dietary needs. These amino acids are present un…pattern that matches very closely the pattern the menschlich body needs.⠀
Here are some more key differences:⠀
🔹 The yolks do contain higher amounts of most amino acids 🔹 Egg whites provide the amino acids you need without the fat and cholesterol. 🔹 Egg yolks are packed with antioxidants, fatty acids, and carotenoids. 🔹 The white contains more than half the egg’s total protein and a majority of the egg’s niacin, riboflavin, magnesium, potassium and sodium⠀
🔹 With the exception of the nutrients above, the yolk contains a higher proportion of the egg’s vitamins – B6 & B12, folic acid, pantothenic, and thiamine. Universum of the egg’s vitamins A, D, E and Kalium are in the yolk. Egg yolks are one of the few foods naturally containing vitamin D.⠀
🔹 The yolk ergo contains more calcium, copper, iron, manganese, phosphorus, selenium and zinc than the white.⠀
🔹 The yolk contains the choline, which is important for brain development, liver & nervous system function, energy levels, & a healthy metabolism. –⠀
So which one would you rather go with?⠀

  1. For me it’s got to be the whole egg I wouldn’t want to miss out on my choline I feel it’s more beneficial to obtain from food sources than supplements also my spicy omelette wouldn’t taste the same.

  2. and what do people do with yolks if they sont eat them? most people throw? that is not acceptable. whole egg has to be eaten. throwing egg yolks is disrespectful towards chickens who produce them and towards other poeple who have nothing to eat

  3. You are wasting food if you don’t eat the egg yolk. People are starving and animals are suffering.

  4. OR do 100 g of egg whites and add 1 whole egg so that your protein is optimal and also get that genuine egg taste 🙂

  5. With the yolk, unless I remove the yolk ahead of time because I’m planning to have some ramen with the yolk raw 😋

  6. The egg industry grinds up baby male chicks alive on their first day of life. Consuming eggs supports animal cruelty.

Eggs are literally the ovulation of a bird (also known as menstruation or periods). Why anyone would want to eat something so disgusting is beyond me.

“By law, according to the USDA, the egg industry “needs to steer clear of words like ‘healthy’ or ‘nutritious. … Not only is the industry barred from saying eggs are healthy, they can’t even refer to eggs as safe because more than a hundred thousand Americans are food poisoned by Salmonella from eggs every year.” @nutrition_facts_org @michaelgregermd

Why are you promoting the consumption of such a disgusting, unethical, and unsafe product?
